In case of re-import of exported goods, such goods can be imported under cash deposit of VAT applicable on such goods. Such goods has to be re-exported again within 3 months. Similar provision in Excise and Customs
An industry that exports more than forty percent of the total sale of the last twelve months after the operation of the industry may make import by furnishing a bank guarantee with the concerned Customs Office in consideration for tax leviable while importing the raw materials required to produce the goods in the quantity of export, and on goods to be imported for a duty free shop through a bonded warehouse.
Provided that, except for the import by a duty-free shop through a bonded warehouse, in order for the other exporters to avail such a facility, the exporter shall make finished goods from the raw materials, with Ten percent value addition during the export.
Liquors and cigarettes imported through a bonded warehouse upon availing the facility as referred to in Sub-section (1) shall be sold only to the diplomats recommended by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to
persons or entities enjoying the tariff facilities.
The bank guarantee furnished pursuant to Sub-section (1) shall be released from the concerned Custom Office in accordance with the procedures specified by the Department.
